Technical Sales Professional Development Program

Position Summary
American Power Conversion, a Fortune 1000 company headquartered in Rhode Island, is seeking individuals for its Sales Professional Development Program. In this 18-24 month program you will receive extensive training and experience enabling you to become a successful Account Executive at APC. You begin your career in Rhode Island as an Inside Sales Representative (ISR 1) on the Customer Solutions Team (CST), ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction while driving revenue growth and market share of APC's products and services in North America. From there you have the opportunity to promote rapidly to a variety of national pro-active roles (Enterprise Account Manager, District Manager, OEM Account Manager, SMB Account Manager, or Enterprise Channel Manager).

Main Responsibilities:
- Identify, qualify and pursue new business opportunities
- Develop and strengthen relationships with Customers and Channel Partners

Technical Engineer Professional Development Program

APC, a Fortune 1000 company headquartered in Rhode Island, is seeking individuals for its Technical Engineering Professional Development Program. You begin your career as a Technical Support Engineer promoting your way to variety of global opportunities in APC products or services (Product Manager, Configuration Engineer, Applications Engineer, Systems Engineer, Field Service Engineer, or Network Integration Engineer) over 24-48 months. The initial role as a TSE is located in Rhode Island on the Customer Solutions Team (CST), responsible for understanding power solutions and how they are integrated with our customer needs. The TSE will provide accurate post-sales technical support via phone/web technologies for APC's entire product line and will be required to interpret policies and make business decisions to meet aggressive deadlines with minimal supervision.

Main Responsibilities:
- Assist potential customers with product selection and configuration
- Interpret and resolve complex product questions
- Identify and route large business opportunities to sales teams for follow up and closure
- Ensure every interaction creates the optimal customer experience

Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree required: engineering / information technology preferred
- Strong problem solving and a high level of technical aptitude
